Job Description

El-Bukelz Nigeria Limited is seeking a highly skilled COREN-certified Civil Engineer with specialized expertise in rigid pavement road construction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced technical proficiency in concrete pavement technology, materials science, and construction supervision to uphold the highest engineering and quality standards across infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete lifecycle of rigid pavement road projects from initial planning to final execution
• Develop and evaluate structural designs, pavement thickness computations, reinforcement layouts, and construction blueprints
• Supervise construction phases to ensure adherence to specifications, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks
• Conduct on-site inspections and material quality tests for concrete, aggregates, and reinforcements
• Coordinate with geotechnical experts, survey teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups
• Monitor project timelines, progress milestones, and budgetary compliance
• Resolve technical challenges and provide innovative engineering solutions during construction
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety requirements
• Prepare comprehensive progress documentation, reports, and as-built drawings
• Assist project management in strategic resource planning and allocation

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
• Valid COREN certification is essential
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience including 5+ years focused on rigid concrete pavement road construction
• Advanced understanding of pavement design protocols, mix formulations, reinforcement systems, and curing techniques
• Expertise in civil engineering software applications such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D
• Exceptional capabilities in project oversight, technical documentation, and reporting
• Strong leadership qualities and communication abilities
